Yes, actually. Yes they did. I see where you're coming from, Bugman; I just thought I had missed something. At least it's free, though, right? :P
Also, I would totally take a DK tie.

Man, I remember that barrel thwarting me when I was a kid. I didn't see any clues that you could move it with the D-pad. I think I ended up getting a hit from this site, but man that was a long time ago!

Re: Prope outlines company philosophy
Bumping an old thread rather than making a new one. So I was able to get my hands on this yesterday, and it's was pretty fun with friends. If you drop the other people out, the fun factor goes down a good bit, but the race mode is much more fun than expected, the Jenga-esque mode is kinda neat for a...

I was actually planning to watch this show just for BG&E2, but had issues of some sort with the two streams I tried. Guess I didn't miss it? :{ Here's to hoping for tomorrow…

Re: "Sonic Chronicles" trademarked by Sega
Grandia was better than III (or what I played of Extreme), but II's still my favorite. Then again, I played that one first, so I could have colored my opinion some, but the coin-for-powerups system is very much preferred to the use-spell/ability-a-million-times-to-power-it-up system -- I'd always en...

I have to say, I enjoyed Grandia II's story as well, though yeah, as a not-game, it probably wouldn't have done quite as well. With that in mind:

I actually think I heard the inverse on this one -- there was an easy mode in Japan (so three difficulties), and they nuked it for the US release. Not too sure, though.

Re: In before Dynasty Warriors Xtreme Beach Volleyball
I liked gregorio because of how creepy he was and the voice really added to it. I still have no idea what he was saying though. Sounds to me like "Beauty is a sin! Oh, God!" at the start, "I… am… beautiful! " at the end, and "Mama… I've done it again…! <creepy giggle>" if he wins. You can hear a .o...

Honestly, I'm surprised that I'm not the only person who even knows of Gitaroo Man on these forums. Maybe there's more hope for seeing more in the series than I had otherwise hoped (read: two slivers of hope rather than one).

Re: To 360 or to PS3?
(Now, admittedly, I'm a bit biased towards the '360, but) if you haven't played any of the Xbox / '360 games you listed, that sounds like the way to go to me. The '360 does have a terrible D-pad, though I hear you can use the Street Fighter controller so long as you don't need the stick. As far as b...

So I rented this and beat it somewhere between two and three hours. o_O Overall, it's just kinda… there. It's not maddeningly bad (i.e. Unleashed night stages), but it's not particularly good, either. Story doesn't really go anywhere, graphics are pretty good, waggle will hurt your wrist after a whi...

Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation
The problem is, until Heroes, combat wasn't a big priority in the Sonic series, so looking behind you didn't usually matter so much. While that's mostly true, I remember Sonic Adventure 2 frustrating the shit out of me when I was looking for something (usually a mystic melody spot) and I'd spin the...
