Yeah, during the first half of the game, Link is trying to save his little sister, who was kidnapped by a huge bird under the command of Ganon. Ganon was looking for Zelda, and the bird kidnapped a couple of other girls in the process.

Got mine at launch. Did'nt even have to wait in a line.

Everyone looked eight in Wind Waker, and I don't recall if her age was revealed in the game.
