Re: Toy Story ep 4: The Plastic Menace.
A Bug's Life becomes better when you realize it's basically The Magnificent Seven with insects. I realized it and liked the Magnificent Seven better. ABL is just too twee and cutesy, even for a Disney movie. The character design makes me think it's some sort of educational children's show and I can...

Re: Toy Story ep 4: The Plastic Menace.
Which films are these? While I agree that some of Pixar's films are weaker than others, I can't think of any truly bad ones they've made. Bug's Life, Cars, Cars 2, and Toy Story 2 are the weakest films in their stock, I think, anyways. Let me check to see if that matches up with Lasseter. Yep. Bug'...

I think he's attempting to complain about the huge cast of furry characters and the furry fandom that spawned from it but doesn't have the correct terminology to do so.Radrappy wrote:It's pretty hilarious. Im still trying to figure out what hentai sonic is supposed to mean.

Re: Guess the Sonic Generations Stages
The choices, for the most part, are not that bad. It's skipping over games (Sonic 3, CD, Secret Rings, and Black Knight for consoles and all the GameGear games for handhelds) that's bad. Although I could easily argue that the lack of any pinball level is just insane on the part of SEGA.

Re: Sonic Generations
You know, just Casino Night as non-DLC would have been enough to get me enthusiastic about the game. As it stands . . . eh.

Re: Wii Suck
The extra challenge and replay value were all the same puzzle - hit as many zippers as possible without stopping to bash open a wall to get a treasure. It's like that's the only gameplay mechanic they had.

I'm annoyed that they skipped so many titles for the Wii, but mainly F-Zero and Star Fox.

Re: Super WiiHD3D+ Advance
This thing had better be at least slightly more powerful than a Ps3 or Xbox 360. If it's not, then . . . well, I don't see it lasting more than a year because the only third party support they'll get are drawing games or ports of 5-year old PS3 and Xbox games. At best.

Some of those titles are always some of the best (Drill Dozer, anyone), perhaps unfortunately - since they end up overlooked.

Re: Super WiiHD3D+ Advance
It sounds like the UPad is going to be a secondary thing, with the Wiimotes and Classic Controllers remaining the main inputs. Like the Light Gun or ROB for the NES or whatever. : /

Re: Super WiiHD3D+ Advance
Sorry for the double-post, but I can't edit and have looked at some more translations and the interview and this is what I came away with (I believe this is what Sakurai is implying): * Both Smash Bros games will be built with the same core engine. They will be differentiated in specific ways. * Sma...

I hope having both versions of the game isn't necessary to unlock all the characters. That would blow.

Re: Super WiiHD3D+ Advance
Sakurai on Smash 3D and Smash Bros 4. TLDR Version: Smash Bros 3D: * Wants the 3D version to feel distinct. * Wants the 3D version to be easier. * Wants the 3D version to have a personalized handicap according to personal play experience. * Wants the 3D version to feel more like Smash Bros 1. Smash ...

Re: Sonic Generations
Your face is stupid. Did I complain about Green Hill? That stage looks fine to me, save for the 2D grinding which is always stupid and fucking pointless, and the unfitting corkscrew. It's pretty and it looks fun to play. City Escape isn't really screaming fun to me, especially the 2D part, and on t...

Re: Sonic Generations
Yeah, see the thing is, since every act is going to have a Modern and Classic version, 50% of the game is going to be completely new and only using the setting as a theme. Did you really escape 2-D city Escape to play like a recreation of the SA2 stage with the screen flattened or something? Or GHZ ...

Re: SCEI's NGP (PSP2)
I guess the reason I'm having trouble getting excited about the Vita, even though the tech seems phenomenal, is because of the PSP. Because it seems like they're taking a very similar approach to the software, and I know that approach leaves me cold. Here is what I think: Sony desperately needs som...

Re: Super WiiHD3D+ Advance
No shit, the system won't launch until Christmas of NEXT YEAR. Nintendo obviously caved to pressure or something by showing the damn thing nearly two years early. So all the third-party titles Nintendo showed during their conference weren't running on the WiiU. Owned.

Re: SCEI's NGP (PSP2)
I really don't see Sony doing that much interesting in the past several years. Even Loco Rollo was proceeded by a Kirby title on the GBA or GBC (can't remember) that did the same thing. PixelJunk does cool stuff, but you can't just point to them and say that alone makes the company original and expe...

u r such a sony fanboy. It has to be said. Nah, he just hates Nintendo on principle. Sega holic, you know. Anyway, I wonder if this PSP2 will get the popularity its predecessor never had; they're going to need some pretty good titles. Well, looking at sales data, it looks like people bought PSP sol...

Re: SCEI's NGP (PSP2)
Do I want the system with a solid breadth of franchises behind it, free but probably shoddy online, but the overall best history, kind of meh tech specs - or do I want the system with a dearth of intellectual properties attached to it (I hope you really really like Sucker Punch's games), paid and in...

Re: SCEI's NGP (PSP2)
Handhelds always end up being casual regardless of audience, because of the nature of the beast itself - the games and the system are almost always designed as something you can pick up and play in short jabs. If not at first, that's the way they eventually gravitate towards. Both handheld console a...

Re: SCEI's NGP (PSP2)
I don't get it either. For good or bad this may be the last generation of portables regardless of anything either Sony or Nintendo can do. I'm only excited about 3DS because of the franchises attached to it, while Sony has whizzed every franchise I've ever cared about that they had down their leg (O...

(that and I disliked feel-good's earlier Wario Land game) Did they do Wario Land Shake It? God, that game was just so bland and oversimplified. I thought Wario Land 1 for the GameBoy had more depth and fun than that game. Everything about that game involved using those damnable speed-boosters to so...
