Re: Prolific American Company I Do Care About vs. Capcom
...nope, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 definitely blows this one out of the water for me. Never gave a shit about Tekken . Not owning a PS1 at the time it was popular probably contributed greatly to that. About the best hope I have here is that it'll play like Street Fighter , but with more characters. Zangie...

Well, that, or a "14-year-old girl", by which I mean FBI agent. Despite being British.

Pretty sure ChickHEN allows it, actually, when paired with a custom firmware enabler.
Oh, and the 6.2 hack was Half-Byte Loader. Probably should've specified.

That is like the best worst commercial ever. I think Robotnik's smile at the end is probably what sells me on it. He's totally a masochist, yes.

Re: Another "tell me what to buy" thread (PSP)
Why the hell has nobody mentioned Castlevania ? Maverick Hunter X is also quite fine. Also, as far as I was able to tell, firmware version 5.1+ can't be hacked yet, and I'm pretty sure you can't buy a new PSP without it anymore. It was certainly on mine. DESPAIR 5.03 can be hacked to custom firmware...

Re: Concept Artwork For "Epic Mickey" from Warren Spector
As I recall, the same was true of the Crazy Castle series, at least a few of them; starred Bugs Bunny in the West, starred Mickey Mouse in the East (except the first one for the NES, which was a Roger Rabbit game of all things).

Re: Concept Artwork For "Epic Mickey" from Warren Spector
I dunno, it really depends on how the butt-stomp works; the Mario series has done "push down for butt-stomp" since either Wario Land or Yoshi's Island (depending on which came first), and both worked extremely well; IIRC, Wario's even keeps a bit of his horizontal momentum when you do it. Y'know wha...

Re: Concept Artwork For "Epic Mickey" from Warren Spector
Well, I quite enjoyed Land of Illusion , and Castle of Illusion for the GG/MS was more or less that but with level themes taken from the Genesis game, so... yeah, it's still a pretty decent romp. I did play Magical Quest 2 lately. Pretty decent, although swapping costumes out repeatedly got a bit an...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Alright, I'll retract the lack of melody argument; it was honestly a really shitty one, yeah (although it is rather subdued in nature; not as badly as Genesis Spring Stadium, though, which was so bad I can barely remember it). But I like the "Meso-American" one brought up; the ruins honestly felt mo...

Re: Concept Artwork For "Epic Mickey" from Warren Spector
I dunno, the game gives me N64-era platformer vibes, and in a good way. I'd be lying if I said it was best-of-show material, but I've always been kind of interested in even the toned-down version of the game. ...but a version that wasn't toned down would've been something amazing, no question about ...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Both soundtracks have good tunes, but Rusty Ruins is FAR more fitting in the Saturn soundtrack than it is in the Genesis one. I swear, the Genesis one is pretty awful shit almost entirely devoid of a melody, while the somber piano melody of the Saturn tune sets the mood perfectly. That being said, y...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Are there significant changes to the Saturn version outside Special Zones? 'Cause, speaking as someone who has only played the Genesis version, it ain't really that hot. Not terrible, but I can't see myself ever wanting to play a slippery isometric version of Flicky again; I'd really rather just pl...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
But tool-assisted speedruns are so friggin' fun to watch - especially when they figure out how to break the game without screwing up their time (like Collision Chaos 1 from the Sonic CD run). I'd argue they're allowed more leeway here than the real speedrunners.

Yeah, between unrolling after a ramp (seriously, why), incredibly slow acceleration (something the Advance games often had problems with - no, having higher acceleration with more rings is not a good idea) and quirky jumping physics (apparently if you let go of the stick while you were jumping forwa...

I've seen the actual movie, although it was a few years back. And yeah, he's in a few scenes. Ones that come to mind would be when Molly's toys introduce themselves to Woody after he gets plucked up by her when he nearly escaped Sunnyside Daycare (Totoro is, incidentally, not introduced - he's about...

Re: Toy Story 3 Teaser Released-Dated for June 18th 2010
It's absolutely brilliant, by the way. The ending scenes are really the most fitting note the entire series could've ended on. Also, I really liked the toys the little girl had, and kind of hope we may get to see more of 'em - if only in quick shorts on the Disney Channel or what have you. Actually,...

Check the sensitivity in the Wii menu. The thing that shows you the two dots, right? It's probably picking up something else as a third dot, which is screwing it up tremendously.
