Re: GHZ Museum/Encyclopedia fact checking & ect. thread
Wow, I never really noticed before that they were turtles with propeller helmets. I always thought they were green robot men with black robot pants or something.

Re: What are you playing today?
I'm starting on Ducktales Remastered, which I just bought last night for my PS3. I'm not too familiar with the NES version (I've barely played it; most of my knowledge of the game comes from YouTube videos), but so far I've been enjoying this a lot. WayForward really went out of their way to make th...

Re: Sonic ..Excursion?
Sonic Adventure's Knuckles stages were just trimmed bits of Sonic's levels. I liked how Knuckles got to explore bits of others' levels. After all, Sonic 3 & Knuckles had three characters take various paths for the same zones, and that was one of my favorite parts of the game. Getting to explore are...

Re: Sonic ..Excursion?
I hate boosting, too. Sonic Adventure 2 is a much more polished game experience than any recent-year Sonic game. You're allowed to dislike lock-ons and emerald hunting, but you can't deny that contemporary Sonic games have been plagued with bad controls and shallow content depth. Emerald hunting was...

Flicky was on the Sega Net Work System in Japan, an online network service for the Mega Drive: http://sega.jp/fb/segahard/md/modem_t.html
It was later released as a cartridge game in North America and Europe.

Re: Heretical Inquiry
Yeah, the brick physics are pretty lousy in the All-Stars games.
I don't think I've ever beaten the NES Super Mario Bros., warp or not. It just seemed a lot trickier than it did in All-Stars, where I've done it several times. I have beaten 2 U.S. and 3 on NES systems, though.

Re: Wii U Launch
I like Sonic Adventure DX more than the Dreamcast version because I can skip all the cut scenes, I don't have to hear a loud-ass screech every time there's in-level voice acting, and I don't need to be online to unlock all the neat stuff. The Game Gear games are a fun distraction too, considering I ...

This is exactly what I thought when I read this news. I would also lump in Stars Wars: The Clone Wars (the CG series, not the 2D one, though I don't care for either) into the crap pile, too.Radrappy wrote:I think if the prequels are any indication, it can't possibly get much worse.

The widescreen looked pretty nice on Sonic CD. Can't see why this would be much different.

Re: Dinsey's Wreck-It Ralph: A love-letter to videogames
La Luna is easily the worst theatrical short Pixar's ever done. I also quite liked the designs in Monsters Inc. They had life, energy, and imagination, moreso than any character designs in any Pixar film since (with a few exceptions here and there). It was a little garish, but I'll take its color de...

But seriously, never got why Monsters Inc got a free pass. It was terrible. "Free pass"? I'm pretty sure I'm the only person on this forum who even likes it. (I know GG! sure doesn't.) Monsters Inc. was made in the time period, in my opinion, that Pixar was at their more creative; when they were do...

Am I the only one who is kinda..worried by this? I'm not that big a Tekken fan, and Soul Calibur hasn't been good in a long time. I don't know if I trust these people to make the next Smash Bros. games.

Re: Dinsey's Wreck-It Ralph: A love-letter to videogames
crappy movies - Kung Fu panda 1 and 2 Both Kung-Fu Pandas are superior to several Pixar films. Never cared for Madagascar, but at least the sequels were made for a (very loose) reason, unlike Cars 2. That being said, Redline was the most predictable animated movie I ever saw and it was still the be...

I'd hate to see the same thing happen to Pixar Cars 2. I'm with Eserver on the look of Brave and its unpleasant colors. It almost looks like a Dreamworks Animation film. The posters look nice, though. Here's the Japanese poster of Brave: http://cinema.theiapolis.com/movie-2RLU/brave/gallery/brave-j...

Re: Dinsey's Wreck-It Ralph: A love-letter to videogames
I'll see Wreck-It Ralph because I see most (big-budget) CG films that come out in theaters, because they look nice on the big screen (not so much at home). Though Sarah Silverman is a turn-off for me. The same department that made Chicken Little, Bolt, and Meet the Robinsons. I saw all of those! I h...

I can one up that - I never even owned a Saturn. One of my cousins did, but all I ever played on it was Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, and Virtua Fighter 2. (He did have NiGHTS I believe, but I only listened to the CD instead of playing it because his Saturn wasn't there at the time.)

Re: The future is golden
I actually saw all of the anime, which was a decent conversion (more or less) of the plot of the game, with some new stuff here and there.
I haven't even beaten the original Persona 4, but so far the new stuff they've shown in The Golden (winter events!) looks nice.
