Re: I feel hatred.
To me, terrorism is performing a variety of crimes, including threats, blackmail, and murder, unto those who don't follow your strict ideological beliefs, ranging from "stop supporting Israel you heathens", "man, it'd be sweet if we got $1,000,000 out of this bomb threat", and performed in such a fa...

He has a point, though. Lately "boycott" means "raise a huge ruckus over something and then buy it regardless". Look at Left 4 Dead 2 or PC Modern Warfare 2 , perfect examples. Personally, I was gonna get it anyway, since what little I've bothered to watch didn't look incredibly offensive. Subpar, y...

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Surprised that, for a track called "Death Egg", they didn't think to, oh, I dunno, use the music for Death Egg. Sonic 2, Sonic & Knuckles, it's all good.
Still, this kind of makes me wish I had the game to try this shit out.

I dunno, IIRC every time you loaded up your save, you would only start with 3 hearts filled. That is, it was just as bad about it as Metroid was.
Well, I suppose Zelda's world was a little more difficult to get truly lost in, but still.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
The main gameplay looks okay, yeah, but the mine cart stage... well, it doesn't look terrible , but it's disgustingly out-of-place. I noticed that Lost Labyrinth - or what little I watched of it - was pretty much entirely orthogonal, minecart notwithstanding, just like its Sonic 1 namesake. I'm sure...

Re: What are you playing today?
I personally find Sheep Man to be a pretty good starting point; he's not particularly weak to the Buster, but his attack pattern is very simplistic and not too tricky to get the hang of on either difficulty.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
Funnily enough, in the other leaked video, the exact opposite was true - he gained speed incredibly slowly! Just like Sega to overcompensate. It was a bit too fast, but given that all Dimps has developed since ~2003 are ultra-fast titles like Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Rush , it's not terribly surpri...

Re: Buying NiGHTS. Yes or No?
I own it, yes. It's rather underwhelming. Then again, NiGHTS as a whole didn't ever really do a whole lot for me. I tend to like seeing new areas, not going through the same areas repeatedly for score. I'll admit that I love the feel of the game - the art direction, the music, the core gameplay; all...

Re: The Official Poll Suggestion Thread
Black Knight kind of glosses over it. Archie went and nearly retconned it - I mean, the BLU Spy died in-game, but Archie arbitrarily gave him the Dead Ringer and wound him up on Eggman's side. So like them!

He did, however, forget Team Fortress 2. C'mon, man, that game's got the most important plot points in the entire series! Remember how many characters they killed off in that one?

Re: Silver and Gold have I some
I haven't played a Pokémon game since Yellow and Blue , but to be honest, if I had absolutely no damn clue as to the usefulness of the various 'mons and had to choose randomly from the starters, I'd probably go for the cutest. Ergo, if I got HG / SS , I'd probably opt for Chikorita or Cyndaquil over...

The spaz glitch is an emulation glitch on part of no$gba. It isn't present in the actual game.
Also, I hear the slowdown is much, much less prevalent if you play it on a DSi.

Re: There's a Thunderdome joke in here somewhere
I recently bought the original Tactics , black label and everything. I'm eager to try it out, but rather annoyed that my PS2 seems to get hung up on reading it - I swear it sounds like it's friggin' record-scratching the thing, and some of the "Now Loading" screens never actually end . I don't know ...

I thought Wonder Boy WAS Monster World . Wonder Boy in Monster World was definitely very Metroid -esque, although I found some of those jumping puzzles to be infuriatingly frustrating late into the game. I still haven't beaten it because of a couple of those... or maybe it was the boss, I forget.
