IGN have a review of Rush up, with the obviously exaggerated tagline of "we're looking at what could possibly be the finest Sonic game yet" and a score of 9.0. Personally I'd rather read Gamespot's review, but if anyone cares to hear the same kind of stuff that's been said in every preview again, he...

I've developed this thing recently where it seems I have to buy every Sonic game that comes out regardless of how bad they are, so it's inevitable I'll pick this up. I really don't want to pay much for it though, I waited for Heroes to drop in price before I touched it and may do the same for this.....

As no one else has mentioned them, I'll recommend the 2 Oddworld games, Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, as those are 2 of the most unique, atmospheric and well designed 2d "platformers" I've ever played and definitely a couple of my favourite games on the system. If you're interested in a 2d Zelda ...

I wonder what the record number of upcoming Sonic games at one time is. There's 5 at the moment with this, well unless there's also more Sonic Café titles on their way I'm not aware of, but I wouldn't really count them.

I wasn't aware about how much Yasuhara contributed to level design. I suppose that really makes it incredibly obvious what the problem is then.

I think the thing with the Advance series is that there's so many little problems combined together, that it's hard to actually put your finger on one main error that really caused the games to fall short of being anywhere close to the quality of the Genesis/Megadrive titles. Visual style, level des...

I've been counting down the days until Rush for a while now, I'm fairly hyped, though I've got a funny feeling I'm going to end up massively disappointed, again.

Visually the DS title is most comparable to the N64 one anyway, though now with 3d models instead of sprites for the racers and of course, a lack of any anti aliasing or texture filtering. The game has a lot of potential in my opinion, there's a lot of work going into it, not just with the online pl...

I think that's a slight overreaction to the voice overs changing from one terrible cast to another terrible cast. Although in my opinion 4kids are slightly less terrible.

Also, Blaze and Sonic have their first few levels in a different order Is this the only difference as far as levels are concerned, or are there specific routes through levels for each character? It doesn't sound like Blaze has any abilities that would let her reach areas Sonic can't, so I'm curious...

Gamespy's preview also suggests that the level design, as in Sonic Advance, is much more "racing" focused with very little traditional platforming. That doesn't really sound very good to me. This bothered me slightly as well, but watching some footage, it seems like there's a good deal of slower se...

After listening to all of them a few times now, it's really no wonder they're releasing an OST. The music is great in my opinion, actually something FRESH. I'd buy it if there was a chance in hell it was going to come out here. EDIT: It is indeed Naganuma composing Rush for those who're interested, ...

The main page of the new European site now plays a ton of tracks from the game if you leave it for a while. Some of them are sounding pretty cool in my opinion, a massive improvement over the terrible audio of the Advance series.

Haha, Sean Schemmel is in it, I'm surprised to see a non-4kids voice actor. I wonder who he's playing and if it'll sound anything like his Goku/King Kai.

Well, Sonic Heroes is an example. He wants to know how it works for videogames in general. I'm aware of this, although also fairly lazy. I think it's pretty obvious most games don't have resynched lips though, hence hilarious synching travesties like the original Onimusha, though I do believe there...

I feel like one of the only people who doesn't really give a flying fuck about the change to 4kids. 90% of the original cast have absolutely no acting talent, at least the 4kids cast in general is far more experienced.

Cyber track was pretty much just an inverted Techno Base with gravity switchers thrown in.

Also, after hearing descriptions of the zones in the game, not one of them is an original idea, so you should probably rule out looking forward to something new.

I like how despite having proper shadows in their last few titles (on 3 characters in the previous game no less), they've decided to slap one of those incredibly dated circular ones on Shadow for this game. That really sums up the visual quality and effort going into this game as a whole for me. At ...

Not knowing where else I should post this, I'll mention this here as there seems to be a fair amount of Rush discussion in this thread already. Gamespot have updated with a new Rush review as well as 4 new gameplay videos of the game, which show off some new zones, including a Casino stage (which I ...
