I would've liked it better if it featured super-high quality 2D animation for battles, I love cartoon-like 2D when done well like in Wario Land Shake. Then again, pokémon designs are quite simple so it's also a good match for polygonal models. I'll be getting a 3DS XL shortly, and already running ou...

Happy late birthday Jesus and happy week-into-New-Year, people!! Also got some practical stuff, two t-shirts and a belt IIRC. Stumbled upon this place by chance, sometime during 2004 or 2005 I think, I was just discovering the wonders of the interbutts and "Sonic" was one of the first things I thoug...

The onboard flash is going to be much faster than any external hard drive option, though. Are there external SSD units? Seems like those are a whole lot like flash memory. The internal ones seem to improve PlayStation 3 performance dramatically in some cases: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit...

Does the game look any nicer than its PS2 release? From the teaser-thing, it looks pretty much identical to me, only the HUD is a bit smaller. Maybe they made some work on Puffy's model? I do hope they fix the (probably mandatory now) 16:9 format so that it actually shows more stuff than the origin...

Higher quality version over here: http://youtu.be/KvhXMevf6V4 I really don't know why the camera zooms in and out. Are they trying to achieve some kind of dramatic effect or something? With those bland graphics? I mean, no amount of good controls will change the fact that Dimps are quite incompetent...

You probably already checked it, but in ME2 the Back button was used for putting down your weapons. Don't own ME3 yet, but according to its manual , it is now used for quick saving... which doesn't make much sense since you could turn on auto-saving in ME2 and retry from a very close checkpoint. By ...

This is totally bound to be miserable, like Prope's output to date, and Monolith Soft's after the Nintendo acquisition deal. Namco's not a significant publisher? This. It's not so much about the company, but about his position in it and the budget he'll be working with (I don't say "staff" because t...

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition - Focus attacks are a poor replacement for just parrying, especially while in the air (seriously, there's almost no point in jumping in this game at all). Also, the characters are butt-fugly and exchanging Ultra Combos every round is retarded. Other than that,...

I think I will save Bayonetta, Valve games, and BioWare titles for when I get a 360, since Mass Effect 1 wasn't released on the PS3 and it would itch the inside of my head if I started 2 without ever playing 1, and Valve seems more like a Microsoft developer than a Sony developer. Yeah, the Valve h...

I'll second Senbei on Mass Effect 2. I managed to play both Ninja Gaidens on 360, and the second one's combat feels deeper and more challenging (I'd go around to places like TV Trope to say the first one is definitely not a challenging game at all as long as you buy potions, block and Izuna Drop eve...

It is frustrating when you forget where you're supposed to go or what to do because you took a break or forgot to do something simple like this. Is it the game's fault? Maybe. A lot of games have quest logs that can help you with stuff like this. And then gamers tend to be divided on how much a gam...

Last I checked (granted this was several years ago), certain DC games commanded quite a premium on the secondary market. Power Stone 2 was worth $70 - $80 at the time. Fucking this. I really want to get my hands on PS2 but people ask for ludicrous amounts of dough for it. Had to make do with a seco...

I'm kind of hooked on umeboshi, the super-sour pickled plum things. The waitress in the cafe next to my apartment used to give me free umeboshi. She ruled. My 2nd or 3rd year Japanese teacher gave me an umeboshi once. Maybe I just wasn't prepared for the taste and had a bite thinking it was going t...

It's really not a bad cover. I just took a closer look to it, and it seems like Sonic is a friggin' giant there. Maybe they should've exaggerated the fish-eye camera effect a little more? ... I'll confess I beat it and took the time to S-rank all stages in Sonic's episode (both normal and hard vari...

I meant Adventure 2's contradictions with Adventure 1 regarding the Chaos Emerald that was awarded to Tails for protecting Station Square. There may be more.Wombatwarlord777 wrote:What were the contradictions between Adventure 2 and the Advance titles? Aside from the battle on the Moon in Advance 1, I mean.

Also liked Chaotix's music, but I can't help feeling it doesn't really blend with the other classic ones'. It's overall "tamer" or something, like it sounds like the work of a very good videogame music composer, instead of a musician 's work, like Masato Nakamura's. I think I have the same problem w...

Recently got a 360. I'm going to quote myself from a very similar thread on another forum. Ninja Gaiden Black - It's awesome, I love it. Not as hard as I thought it would be, I'm just Izuna dropping pretty much everything and doing quite well. Bayonetta - Also awesome, but it has an excessively gent...
