Re: Possible Sonic Lego Dimensions Cross Over
Purchasing the separate Packs/minifigures is Dimensions' equivalent to the character unlock mechanic. Toys-to-life model and all that. I would point out, however, that there ARE some minifigs that allow you to switch between multiple characters; Peter Venkman, Abby Yates, and B.A. Baracus specifical...

Re: Possible Sonic Lego Dimensions Cross Over
Am I the only one who feels rather...put-off by the odd lack of ACTUAL Sonic music for the Genesis-era areas? They got the proper music for everything else, what was stopping them from being able to use all of it?

Re: OH YES Sonic Mania
The guy who did the Mutant Mudds games made a public offer to port the game for 3DS, so *maybe* there's a chance for it so show up there...Brazillian Cara wrote:Kind of a bummer that it seems the NX is stuck with just Generations 2(?) and might not get this game. Maybe he's just doing some terraforming to expand his base/capital/theme park of doom.Frieza2000 wrote:*That actually doesn't jive with the teaser because why would Eggman be blowing up that city if he's already conquered the world but it's Sonic so we probably shouldn't read too much into it.

Re: Possible Sonic Lego Dimensions Cross Over
I'm guessing it's from the Midway Arcade Level Pack, like with Gauntlet; one of that pack's features was playing LEGO-fied versions of classic arcade games like Rampage.

The trailer dropped for Sonic in Dimensions, and WOW IT'S WAY MORE THAN I COULD HAVE HOPED. Being a Level Pack was the best possible outcome.

Re: Sonic 2016 Rumours
Welp, the Joypolis stream was a total bust. Apart from a few new bits of concept art for a few characters, the only announcement was...that there is going to be an announcement. On July 22. (also that said new game will be out in 2017)

Well, there's an official Sonic Humble Bundle for the anniversary. Spend $35 and get a shirt!
also less anniversary-related, but
only the deepest shade will do for the OFFICIAL SONIC TWITTER

Re: Sonic 2016 Rumours
Well we're about a week away from when all the party stuff is happening...maybe we'll FINALLY get to see what all the teases have been about ('cause if it's another announcement for an upcoming announcement like at E3 I'm gonna be pissed).

Bit of a revival post, but I thought a link to SEGA Europe's E3 2016 stream (apparently we may FINALLY get to see the mystery 25th Anniversary game) was apropos here.

Yeah, they develop all the LEGO games, and WB Games publishes them (and forces them to develop DLC/season passes).Dr. BUGMAN wrote:Does Traveller's Tales still develop Lego games?

Re: Possible Sonic Lego Dimensions Cross Over
Dimensions is cool, but I'm honestly more excited about the possibility of this leading to official Sonic Lego sets. This is both likely and highly UNlikely at the same time. Portal, The Wizard of Oz, and Midway all have a presence in Dimensions, but no proper LEGO sets--not even as internet-backed...

It's getting a sequel called "The Next Level" featuring Metal Sonic! Also mention of them potentially doing an adaptation of the mystery 25th Anniversary game.

Re: Run Away
I don't know why they just can't turn it into an offline only game, where you pay $2.99 and can work on grinding points to buy all the characters (or use microtransactions to buy them outright). That would make too much sense. Also it probably limits how much money they can make off the free-to-pla...

Re: Sonic Mega Drive
Not really. They DID do a big Sonic Adventure adaptation waaaaaaay back when the Dreamcast was new, but Gamma was never killed off... ...until way later, in the first issue or two of Sonic Universe. Basically, he pulled some sort of mind transfer with Omega, resulting in Gamma dying and Omega turnin...

For those still wondering, turns out SEGA was pretty okay with the whole thing from the get-go! (then again, they probably figured "welp, less work for US to do")

Re: GHZ Kickstarter Picks
THAT...is actually a really good question. No mention of SEGA was made at the Sony conference OR on any of the Kickstarter pages...it's not an abandoned trademark, is it?
