So am I the only one who giggled whenever Fi had something to say and said out loud "A report, master" along with the text?
I liked Midna like any sane human being should, but would you really have preferred to just have Midna again rather than something original?

Re: On the topic of animated fat men...
No love for courage the cowardly dog? This is a travesty! Cartoon Cartoons in their heyday were amazing. Dexter's Laboratory, Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel, Johnny Bravo (before the retool), Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and even Sheep in the Big City. I never really liked The Powerpuff G...

It's actually 11 seconds. 5, pause, 4, pause, 3, pause, 2, pause, 1, pause, 0, drown. 5 seconds would be way too little. But I get what you mean.Tsuyoshi-kun wrote:the 5-second countdown

Re: What are you playing today?
I must have missed it. Details? In the part where you need to burrow into a hole, break a rock and then race back out before lava floods the room, if you're too slow, the sheet of magma swallows Link whole and it's an instant Game Over, regardless of how many hearts/fairies you have. It wasn't part...

Okay, I have to ask: who here fell for the non-standard Game Over in level 6? It's probably good that I did, otherwise I'd never actually see the damn thing.

Re: What are you playing today?
(It might've just been the menu screens, but I could completely cover up the sensor bar and pointing still worked.) It does. The game only uses the pointer to set the centerpoint in the MotionPlus calibration (when it tells you to point at the center of the screen). This is why you can press down t...

Re: Ever wonder what Sonic's singing voice would sound like?
Stupid edit limit. Nothing can survive the will to stay alive, cause if you try--- you can do anything! This line actually has some merit. Listening closer I can clearly hear Keiko Utoku saying a very Engrish "arive", meaning this one is probably right. Its stated anything can happen if you believe ...

The person in question made some fuss about the lyrics being written by their original author. Stardust Speedway (Present) Get it right here! Get it right here! Re: Ever wonder what Sonic's singing voice would sound like?
How'd you come up with this? There were these idiots at the Sonic Retro forum saying the words were "Egg's gonna kill you, Egg's gonna kill you, Egg's gonna kill you, oh no oh no" (seriously) which I found so deeply revolting that I spent a long time listening to that part of the song over and over...

Neo, you have done a far better job of figuring out what those lyrics were than I've ever managed. (unless you just nabbed them from some lyrics site) Stardust Speedway: Can't believe In your dreams They're gonna get you Lots of trouble Metallic Madness "B" mix: You can't do anything so Don't even ...

Re: Sonic Generations
Unless you've played NiGHTS it's impossible to figure out. Well, you can see the Ideya sitting in the Ideya Capture, and you can obtain it if you go shoot for that auto sequence, and then if you let yourself fall back to the first table you pass by the Ideya Palace and you drop it off. That much I ...

You can still do that, you just have to be in range. It comes into play much more frequently with the items you get from the fourth dungeon forward.Esrever wrote:Also, I do kind of miss the quickness of the old z-target-and-fire-without-actually-having-to-aim sometimes.

The war began!
Earth-trembling fear!
Bold! Brave! And cold-hearted!
Distance grows closer
Little by little
Wow!
The power he possesses is incredible!
He doesn't stand a chance!

Re: What are you playing today?
Indeed, I could live without the motion control during flying and swimming, but when you think about the game in general it kind of makes sense in context. What is incredibly confusing is that swimming uses both the control stick and the gyroscope for movement, but not both at the same time! I'm sur...

Re: What are you playing today?
Just barely! Let me know what you think of the fourth dungeon's boss when you get to it! Well, I beat it. It's a good boss, though a tad on the easy side. (The Stalmaster miniboss took a lot more hearts off my bar.) It's neat that you get to attack him with his own weapon , but it was too easy to ge...

Re: Don't step in the Pharaoh
Numerical ratings attempt to rank games as being objectively "better" or "worse" than others, but the very definition of "better" and "worse" is entirely subjective. Thus, to extract any sort of insight you need to round up a lot of ratings from a lot of different people, which means not just the fa...

And immediately after clearing the second dungeon comes that horrible desert area. Sigh. No, thank you, I don't want to slowly run over quicksand 30 thousand times and then deal with INVISIBLE FLOORS KEEP CHECKING YOUR MAP HURR. I hope there isn't any fucking sand inside the dungeon. (There is, isn'...

Re: What are you playing today?
So Skyward Sword is actually pretty fucking ace after that boring first act. Just cleared the second dungeon and holy shit that boss was the best boss I've ever played and you should buy the game and play it. Erm. If you don't like Zelda, don't bother buying the game -- it's still Zelda. But hot dam...

I'm kind of surprised to hear you say that Skyward Sword starts off slow. This was one of the bigger complaints that people had about Twilight Princess (I was personally annoyed that the game required the player to track down and talk to nearly all the villagers in Ordon). I would have expected Nin...

Imagine a remade version of Wind Waker with the ocean travel removed. Nothing is being removed! It's a completely optional change! Jesus Christ! Am I seriously the only one that's simply curious about how the game might play with the different controls and not calling it the greatest sin of mankind?

Re: Sega release trailer for.. Sonic CD? What?
This is completely missing the point. No it's not. The physics were implemented the way they were for a reason. In fact they're probably what the developers spent the most time on, because every piece of level design stems from the physics engine. Changing them demonstrates a lack of understanding ...
