Re: Tony Stark built this in a damn cave!

As has been said a million times here before I think, Spiderman 3 wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't completely fell apart in the final third of the movie. In the early portions it's not really mindblowing but it's fairly solid entertainment, then as soon as the Venom stuff starts to go down it ...

Re: Kid Lucifer

Factor 5? Aren't they the same team that made the supposedly abysmal Lair? Yes, however they're also the team that was responsible for the high quality "Rogue Squadron" series on the N64 and Gamecube and also the "Turrican" franchise. Lair is essentially their one shitty blemish so far and from wha...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

Sonic the Hedgehog 06 is virtually stricken from the timeline, even the development staff seem to agree on that.

Dimps? They must be pretty fucking busy then, I'm pretty sure they're developing that DB: Burst Limit game as well and at the very least are "involved" in the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed.

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

I tried playing Sonic and the Secret Rings a few months ago and it was barely functional. The challange of a game shouldn't come from trying to make your character move and jump the way you want it to. I hope this isn't more of the same. The funny thing is with Rings that it's entirely a design dec...

Re: So . . . Mario Kart

For those not in the know they are playing around with the basic formula a bit for this Mario Kart, in some very promising ways and in others that are questionably dodgy. First off, there's motorcycles, which are more of an addition than simply a different look for your kart. In this game the 100cc ...

Re: "Sonic Chronicles" trademarked by Sega

I don't have too many issues with Phantom Hourglass, the main one would be the blatant lack of difficulty that plagues any modern Nintendo title. The stylus controls are mostly well executed and are well utilised for some items and puzzles throughout the game that couldn't have been accomplished oth...

The Right There, Right On song however is just awful. Though I haven't played Rush yet and don't know how the original sounds, so I can't really comment on that.
It sounds extremely similar to that and you just can't comprehend Naganuma's genius you heathen!

Re: What Sonic game is this?

It boggles my mind anyone could pick Sonic CD for top spot, the visual style of the game is nice but the level design just feels like a disjointed mess, the platforming doesn't feel anywhere near as tight and refined as Sonic 2 and 3&K. I wouldn't even have it on my top 5 at all. I suppose it's not ...

Re: "Sonic Chronicles" trademarked by Sega

Come on, there's probably a good few members of the "Dark Brotherhood". Expect to meet not only Shade and Dusk, but also Dread, Despair, Gloom and.... Ebony? The possibities are virtually endless! Thinking about this has me wondering if "Black Doom" will make an apperance....not that I played Shadow...

I don't particularly give a shit about this game, however I have to say that the DS version looks visually stunning on the system.

For the record that statement actually was non-ironic. Well assuming it runs at a decent framerate anyway.

Yeah in an ideal scenario I was looking for Dark Samus to reform into the original Metroid Prime for the last showdown. The Aurora Unit was a terrible choice for an end boss honestly, it was obvious throughout the game they were setting it up simply to have a Mother Brain-esque creature to fight at ...

Not a single update has been "moronic", he's kept up updates every single weekday since the site launched and there'll still be tons of unknown material when the game is out, it's pretty damn impressive. The fact is though with the delay he's likely having to stretch out the updates a good deal more...

One thing that came as a bit of relief is that you don't have to wait for the prankster comet to randomly appear in a level to do it's respective prankster mission... the comet automatically appears when you've collected all the other stars in the stage. Thank goodness! I was expecting that to be r...

Single stage, not especially long.

I think there's an additional cutscene if you get 120 stars (and of course the rewards). You can't get 15 of the stars until you beat the game regularly though.

It's really too bad you don't get to use the spoiler-oh-my-god-secret-powerup red star more often. Even just having one or two stages built around it would have been cool! It's just such a fun item with so few occasions to use it! Honestly I thought that was one of the weakest features of the whole...

17 stars in, amazing in general so far, though not without little niggles that have annoyed me here and there. For a start as good as the orchestrated tracks are, I really wish Kondo had composed the entire OST or at least more of it (confirmed in an interview with the sound team he only contributed...

If you have a Wii and are able to access the virtual console then get yourself Super Metroid immediately, otherwise you're pretty much a pathetic excuse of a gamer and a failure as a person in general.

The main game still seems to have constant framerate issues and some really jerky camera rotation.

It's a shame that Sega don't consider "polish" even remotely necessary, the policy seems to be that if it's (barely) playable, it's ready for the shelves.
