Re: Sonic Unleashed?

I love the attention to detail(Eggman's bots having the serial numbers MD1991 and DC1998? Love it!) and I got past a few things I probably wouldn't let them off the hook for next time 'round. What Shadow Hog is talking about is the concern I had over Sonic's controls. Theoretically, you should have ...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

The third round of the the Chip/Temple thing is shit, and any reasonable person would give up on it, but I got through it by throwing a couple good punches and accepting that there is no way to avoid the laser. I just used the guard while flying away from it to minimize damage. It's still bull that ...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

Just made it through the final boss in the 360 version. Let me just say anyone going through should max out normal Sonic's abilities and get good at their QTEs now. A point of interest: Super Sonic has a life bar... and gets hurt by rocks. Not unplayable, but who the fuck decided on this arrangement...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

Locit speaks truth. I just got the game as a B-day present(Kind of fun to get a "kids gift" amongst the straight up cash and clothes.), and I've been glued to it the past few days. It blew me away how much fun it was right at the get-go! I expect to have to put up with some crap in a Sonic game when...

So it's not that I think anyone deserves less, I just don't think we're automatically entitled to have the laws changed to cater to our preferences in life partners. So you're fine with the government controlling your love life and family right because they know what's best? I was just showing that...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

"Special Friends" aside(Really? Of all the titles to pick...), what I've heard of the music in this game is amazing. I love that Apatos temple music. And while I still find the 4kids Sonic to sound kind of bored, the English voice acting isn't too bad, with decent dialogue even! Eggman's VA in parti...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

Requiring you to collect things within the quick action stages to progress? Very few checkpoints on top of that? Geez, those are dubious moves. I'm sure they just wanted to pad the game's length some, but of course those chose the cheapest way of doing it. Otherwise, it sounds pretty much like I exp...

Re: Obama now President of USA.

Crazy Penguin makes en excellent point and I'm sorry to have taken away focus from the issue of equal rights. You're right, it shouldn't matter whether someone was "born that way" or not. It makes it sound like they're retarded somehow, and I never meant to say that homosexuals are biologically made...

Re: Obama now President of USA.

I don't either, as I fully expected The Doc to come in and make fun of me for doing the same-ish thing. It was meant to have a bit of a joking tone. Sorry about that. I probably wouldn't have even cared enough to do that if Dasher wasn't so... y'know, himself. And yeah, it's a character for a story ...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

I don't see how the Wii version is any more Rush-like than the 360/PS3 version. There are a lot of things making me feel all right about this game. Like, not playing Werehog for angst is a huge plus to me. Seems Sonic is still pretty much Sonic, just stuck in a strange form. The fact they went ahead...

Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation

I find it strange that the knights are this crazy stylized take on suits of armor and yet the environment is mostly by-the-book medieval castle. The only shot that grabs me is the one with the grass and the stone pillars. Hopefully they'll do like they did with Secret Rings and forget about using th...

It's really fantastic that a bunch of skilled fan artists are getting picked. I mean, after following it for years across numerous places, seeing the community that loves Sonic(though maybe not the state he's in) getting some official recognition... where they actually LOOK at the pictures and don't...

I guess Madworld didn't count?

Looks awesome, what with the pistol pumps and Venom-esque jumpsuit. Even if it did turn up as another DMC variation, it has major style points.

I guess Nobi Nobi Boy made a showing too. I have no idea what it's about but the music creeps me the fuck out.

Re: Prope outlines company philosophy

I'm pretty sure it works like the DK Bongos as Ritz was saying. Like the remote senses a small shake from the either side and interprets a "left" or "right" movement for running, or in the case of the ball game it interprets how hard the hit on the table/box was. Not sure about the calligraphy thing...

It's amazing, but short. Totally worth it though. Went nuts when I saw the 3 seconds in the 09 trailer. So awesome that it's happening even though that character's design seems a bit less striking than Saki. With the possible Wiimote/Nunchuck combo backpack thing... do you think the white/blue color...

Re: Samba de Amgio coming to Wii

So I bought it. I was pumped. I like it quite a bit! My history with the DC game goes as follows: I bought the game later on, went out of my way to get some 3rd party maracas since I could find no affordable official ones on eBay, and then those would only work about 50% of the time. Granted, that 5...

Re: Sonic and the Black Knight shark-jumping art contest

Nice Esrever! Hilarious stuff. All this reminds me of a "Team Aqua" I created back around the time I was hyped for Sonic Heroes. It consisted of a shark(power), manta ray(speed), and an octopus(flight-he spun his legs around helicopter-style). I wanna dig those drawings up now. Anyway here's my offi...

Re: Sonic Unleashed?

They have a picture showing you it's a setup for the Africa level in the next numbered pic^^ I'm kinda with Esrever. Werehog has some kind of weight and (more importantly) control while Sonic doesn't really seem to adhere to any proper physics. If the gameplay is on par with Rush games it ought to b...
