Well, thanks for the info everyone. Or maybe just GG!, who seems to be the only nerd that knows too much useless trivia that will never probably never help in life. Anyway, I recently figured out that the two kids are from an arcade game called Youkai Douchuuki, renamed Shadowland when it was releas...

Namco's Marvelous Light Parade

You all are complete nerds that know too much about useless trivia that will probably never help you in life. Which is probably why this is the best place to ask this. Okay, so back in 1989, Namco made an arcade platformer called Marvel Land and in 1991 ported it to the Mega Drive. Anyway, I used to...

The guy who worked on the Berenstain Extreme Sports teaches a videogaming class at the local community college near where I live called Palomar College. http://www.franksilas.com/News2.htm I went to Palomar for a year during high school, but I never ...

Another way to get past that barrel is taking advantage of the form of Super Sonic. Make sure you have all seven chaos emeralds and 50 rings when you get to that barrel point (don't change to Super Sonic yet), and bounce up and down until you think it's bouncing up and down enough, and while the bar...

Actually, I really liked BoFIV's cast of characters, and found the least interesting one Scias, but even his depth (which is still mildly shallow) lies in the fact that he was just a mercenary being told what to do, which is pretty pivotal for gathering information during a war, especially when keep...

Super Mario RPG is probably the most charming RPG I've ever played. Two months ago I finished Lunar 1 and Lunar 2. I found Lunar I to be utterly boring. Maybe it was the dialogue, maybe it was the voice acting, maybe it was the story/pacing, maybe it was the characters (Alex is too quiet, Luna and J...

Anything involving Mister Freeze makes me cry. Well, I don't really cry, but the 5 episodes he's been in (three from the early 90s Batman, one episode in the new Batman adventures as part of the Batman/Superman Adventures, and one from Batman Beyond) and the movie (SubZero) were really depressing. I...

Has anyone here ever beaten a Mega Man game? Honestly? Yeah... I beat Megaman 2-8. Like people say, 8 was easy as pie, no doubt the easiest MM game ever (probably to cater to younger audiences, especially with it's squish and squash art direction). I'd like to say I beat Megaman 1, but I can only s...

My vote goes to Skorp of the Sandopolis Zone. That stinger has one tricky tail.

Your Despised Anime?

Wow, an almost copycat topic! Anyway, I'm sure people here have watched animes that they disliked. I suppose you can say that at least 70% of the anime you've watched suck or were just plain boring. To start off, I hated Love Hina. At least half the girls in that show are dumb bitches that go all li...

Oh yeah, I also remembered I never beat the last boss of Rez in level 5. I only got to his final form once and died, and haven't bothered to beat it. I'd probably try to play the game again, but I seemed to have missplaced and lost the game CD...

I usually finish a game, whether I want to or not. I'm a very big penny pincher, so I'll even force myself to play games that I purchased and realized how much I loathe the game, like Sonic Shuffle. I'm like "Okay, I frickin' paid for this game, so you're gonna frickin' get your money's worth", even...

I believe Fear Effect for the Playstation used cel-shading before JSR. I think, I might be wrong, but I'm too lazy to check, so someone else can correct me.

Well, it wasn't really cel-shading, but it has an almost similar effect. But anyway, yeah, I guess JSR is the first.

I personally prefer Mexican women. Unfortunately, a good portion of the female Mexican population are fat and lazy, and once you get on their bad side, they'll be the worst people you'll ever know (although they generally tend to be really sweet if you don't get on their bad side).

I got super confused during that one "reunion" at the Shriek Shack, since all this talking was going on and you didn't have time to make any sense of it. But I found it to be a pretty enjoyable movie nonetheless. Anyway, I always found people with English accents easier to pay attention to. At least...

There was also the mysterious red guy that popped up. Well, they were mysterious when they first popped up anyway. As in, you don't know much about them, or something. And they both started out on the evil/questionable side. And they both came in the third iteration of the series. Not like anyone ca...

My favorite current animes are One Piece and Naruto. One Piece is just so fun and charming, I can't help but love it. Naruto's pretty cool, too. Trigun, Slayers, and Sorcerer Hunters are also among my favorites. HunterxHunter was awesome... except the middle. I hated the middle of HunterxHunter, I c...

You thought the game actually looked cool? I didn't bother getting past level 1 (if you don't count the first practice level). I just wanted to sound smart by figuring out something you couldn't. I use Mame32. The interface can be needlessly big (it lists every game in existence, it seems, and you have to scroll a lot to find the game you're looking for that you want to play, provided you have the rom), but I've had better luck with it than any other MAME emulator out there that I've tried. ...

Well, I figured out how to jump over those concrete cylinders. Let's say there's button 1, button 2, button 3, and button 4.
