I thought that was assumed? I don't think there's a chance in hell Sega will devote the time and resources to making this 2D.

I think he said something like, 'To me Tails and Knuckles are essential characters.' I thought he was speaking generally about the series, rather than specifically about playability in Project Needlemouse.

I know it's pretty much a given that only Sonic (and possibly Tails and Knuckles) will be playable, but I want to find out for certain ASAP, so I play their silly little game.

It occurs to me that the difficult of the questions has been overstated for the purpose of sarcasm... In my defense, I think they worded that last one strangely.. "how many lives was a continue worth." Or maybe I'm just slow today. Don't mind me.

I presume 1) is "badniks" (sp?) and 2) is that 100 rings = extra life. I don't know about #3.

I guess by now we've heard them talk about "relaunching Sonic" too many times to take it seriously. Having said that, if they did some sort of "retro relaunch" for the entire series, to coincide with Project Needlemouse, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Timed nicely perhaps with 16-bit nostal...

While we're talking about the Archie comics, have the stories ever been good, by any definition? I have every issue of the regular series, but I can't be bothered to actually read it.

Edit: Before anyone asks - yes, I realize it's a waste of money to buy the comics and not read them.

Amy looks ridiculous on Sonic #210's cover. If they didn't have time to fix it before going to print, they should have just had an all black cover or something. If no one at Archie thought it looked bad... Well, that does explain a lot.

So are we all pretty much assuming it will be 2.5D? As cool as HD sprites would be, I don't think Sega has the time/money/interest.

Even the Rush series has been 2.5D.

Since "Speed is back" or what ever the hell it said, I wouldn't be too optimistic for exploration.
