I agree with CJ on the idea of Sonic having a sort of guide. But, it doesn't neccesarily have to be someone guiding his journey along the way. Maybe a book or scroll he aquired from the herald (Tails) in the beginning?

Either way, this doesn't mean Sonic will want to follow it all the time.

Super is the Deux ex machina, is the jumping the Shark of the Sonic universe, unless Super is evil , after Super apears there is no point anymore. A Trilogy would be cool, Super wont appear till the third movie, and yeah the first two movies could be about getting the Chaos Emeralds, 3 for the firs...
