Re: Things I never noticed about Sonic 1
One thing I noticed in particular about Sonic 1 is the distinctive shape of the loops that differs from literally every other game in the franchise. From the outset, they almost look ovular in nature, but if you look at the shape of the traversable section itself, it's very much circular. I always w...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
Well, the main issue here is the the leak was done primarily by a member of our forums. Actually, all of the leaks for the game have been from members of our forums. I dunno about you, but solid correlation or otherwise, that paints us a pretty clear reputation as "those guys doing the leaks," regar...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
Retro's role in the community has always been to fill that gritty niche where piracy was condoned and information was paramount, but it seems now that Tweaker & co. are more concerned about usurping Sonic Stadium's position as Sega's crusty mouthpiece, as if we need two of those. What does he think...

Re: An entertaining five minutes
I hope you don't consider Megamix a "feature parade," because I feel that severely underrates the effort that our level designer has been putting into making the game much smoother. See for yourself. What's this? You've come to defend yourself? And forgot to mention your brand new exciting feature ...

Re: GHZ Interviews (#2) Taylor Miller, Sonic Rivals 2 producer
That was a very good read. I'm particularly impressed by the dedication that he puts towards making the game as balanced as possible - that's extremely admirable. Now I'm interested in playing "Sonic Lightning"... I always thought the Rivals style would work well with a standalone Sonic game, and Fr...

Holy crap, Sonic Rivals was the best-selling Sonic game for December? That's really surprising. I wouldn't say so - Rivals, although very simple, was an excellent game for what it was. Admittedly, it had horrid music, but the gameplay, colorful level environments, and fast paced action really hit t...

It may be a crappy port, but at least you can play a classic Sonic game on the road or when the power's out instead of Rush or the Advance series. Wrong. If you want classic Sonic on the go with a handheld then get a PSP and the Genesis Collection for only $30. You'll get a near flawless port of So...

Anyway, back on the present point, so Shadow has a link to a demon, aswell as aliens, scientists and hedgehogs. Yes, he's a hedgehog gentically engineered with alien DNA who is possesed by a demon. That's the most ridiculous character idea ever. What's next? Will we find out that Shadow is also a e...

Really? I don't like Jaques that much... But if we're really going to dream about it, I'd bring BO from Master System fame. He knew what he was doing. Heck, I think the most memorable songs of my life came from him. I liked Jacques because he did THE best techno/pop/upbeat music ever in a Sonic gam...

Esrever said it already. We're not going to argue this further. We've already let you know why this cannot be official art. You'll have to tell me where that proof is, then, because I don't see it explicitly proving the art being fake. I also hope this isn't grounds for banning again... I'm trying ...

Look man, you can talk up this script as much as you like, but there is no way that drawing of Silver is real "concept art" and the reasons why have already been discussed extensively in the other thread. No amount of supporting documents will change the fact that concept artwork would never look l...

I haven't played the demo yet, but from what I've seen, there are a lot of mixed opinions over it. Some say it's an older build as some sort of retribution - myself, I think it was just hastily thrown together as a Live demo so people could at least try it. The whole "energy meter" thing isn't appea...

Tweaker. He's not arrogant. He is simply pointing out the obvious: that this couldn't possibly be official art. I'm not even going to say another word about it. It's not official. No. no it's not. Also it looks like shit. There is no point in being stubborn about this. Obvious? Excuse me, but how e...

Very well then. You are both liars! I only hope that this will finally teach Sega to stop handing out digital files of poorly-drawn, fan-art-like secret concept drawings to random game testers. Clearly it gets leaked almost immediately! When oh when will they learn? You, sir, are extremely ignorant.
