Re: Run Away
Didn't this game make barely a tenth of the money Puyo Puyo Quest was bringing in? So much for stable profit.
Re: Run Away
Revorutionary excitement making, stable profit-generating, one-handed running game! Ask your parents for access to their bank accounts, kids, or this F2P thing will fail and we'll have to come up another fad to chase next time and pick another few hundred heads to lay off. We're begging you.

Re: New Sonic game for 2015
Damn. Considering how much Sega has invested in Boom, and their current financial state (Lost World was a bomb) I worry it's possible the failure of this new initiative could actually kill Sega. The mother ship is sitting on enough pachinko money that they'll probably be fine (relatively sp...

Not that this one has been a spoiler for weeks, but: http://31.media.tumblr.com/60b978024110f69f59995a8e1c8ae171/tumblr_nbql410QMy1qzp9weo6_400.gif The prophecy has come true. If you didn't catch the 3DS version tournament at Comic-con, it was best described as Bowser: The Game. There's buffing an ineffective character, and then there's making him the new Metaknight :(

Over 40 easily. There are still newcomers to go and it's become fairly clear that there will be few cuts from Brawl (Snake/Squirtle/Ivysaur seem to be the only obvious ones for now).
Considering Namco likes money so much, I wouldn't count out DLC expansions to the roster either.

Yes, Sakurai is the patron saint of trolling and all but i'm too hype for this to care. Sonic can suck it, Fire Emblem is my drug of choice now

Try to picture the logistical nightmare of physics and gameplay as demandingly precise as GX, with netcode trying to manage lag in that environment. Online ain't gonna happen.Popcorn wrote:What I really want is a new F-Zero, HD, online, great big draw distance, minimalist, unforgiving, 1000mph, no shells.

https://www.srb2.org/2014/03/version-2-1-release/ It's baaaaaack. There aren't as many new levels as the last major overhaul of SRB2 in 2009, but there's entirely new special stages (NiGHTS mode finally achieves its intended purpose), tune-ups for the existing levels, and way more changes under the ...

Re: New Sonic game for 2015
I liked it more 48 hours ago, where you had two decades worth of simple common sense to justify having a chuckle at pictures of Sonic with blue arms. Suddenly it's a loaded subject. I've already had a couple of snippy people get on my case about it because it's just such mean behavior to express cri...

Re: Sega Maniacs at M2
It's not just the spindash, everything sounds off kilter due to (according to more technically-inclined people at sonic retro) emulating the YM2612 at 32kHz instead of 44100kHz. Given the shaky track record of audio in official Sega emulations, I just find this rather sorry.

And yet I still find it hard to take them seriously, after all that fascinating conversation about their attention to detail, when the Sonic 1 port ended up sounding like this.

Re: Sonic Generations blows
30 minutes of the demo was more than I could stand of it. I didn't notice any lag, but "Fat" Sonic controls like his end of the game is held together with duct tape. Do anything removed from "stop moving forward" and there's a very good chance the game will freak out or make its strict limits clear....

Because we all know there's a surefire correlation between "Sakurai is tired of this" and "DK's mouth is duck-shaped".

Re: The Sonic OVA is rare now
The only thing I still clearly remember from the OVA was that amazing music in the beginning before Sonic and Tails on the beach. So it was a great nostalgia hit to hear that tune in a cutscene in Sonic Before The Sequel, and then this f'ing amazing track in ATS.

Re: Sega Hugged.
Isn't Sega like, bankrupt or something? I just remember their forecast not looking so great, thus a lot of Sonic games or somesuch. The breadmaker at Sega-Sammy continues to be their pachinko operations. In turn, that money pretty much evaporates in video game development. At best they've spent yea...

Re: Awaiting your orders, miss Jade
I'm surprised Ubisoft hasn't run him screaming out the door yet. IIRC, the original Assassin's Creed producer - and this is what he claims - was basically told out of nowhere to get the hell off the property and wasn't allowed to collect his belongings. He's now filing an unlawful termination suit, ...

Against all odds, Ancel insists it's still alive. "I think [on current platforms] Beyond Good & Evil 2 was possible, but it'd be painful. It's always possible to do anything on any kind of console, but sometimes you need to spend your energy not on the optimizations or things like that. "Now that we...
