Re: On the topic of animated fat men...
No love for courage the cowardly dog? This is a travesty! Cartoon Cartoons in their heyday were amazing. Dexter's Laboratory, Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel, Johnny Bravo (before the retool), Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and even Sheep in the Big City. I never really liked The Powerpuff G...

Re: It's Dr. Eggman's 20th Birthday.
The phrase "Sonic is what got me into video games" might feel a tiny bit cliché, but even so, that's the way it was with me. I first became a fan of Sonic through AoStH, and i never gave a crap about video games until i saw a friend of mine playing Sonic 2, which i of course initially was interested...

Re: "I WILL BREAK YOU, BATMAN!!!"
Didn't Nolan used to say that he wanted to use Batman villains that hasn't appeared on film before? And yet, in the last movie we got Joker and Two-Face and now we get Bane?

Seth MacFarlane's new show: The Flintstones. Yep.
Yep. You heard me. http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/yabba-dabba-doo-seth-macfarlane-finally-gets-go-ahead-to-reboot-the-flintstones/ I suspect that the fact that The Flintstones has been considered a childrens cartoon for the last 35 years or so (which of course it was not originally intended to be) ...

Re: Sonic Generations
I'm not to up-to-date on the marketing here; does Sega keep implying that there are 3 distinct eras (Classic/Adventure/Rush) Well no, Sega seems to present Sonic's history as being split in just two eras, namely "Classic" (everything before Adventure ) and "modern" (everything from Adventure onward...

Re: Sonic Generations
You know what actually might be the most interesting thing to come out of the Generations -reveal? The fact that a large part of the section of the fanbase that specifically prefer the " Adventur e-era" of the series (generally meaning the era from Sonic Adventure up to but not including Sonic Unlea...

Bosconian . You know, space shooter, Atari, 1981. Bought it along with Pac-man and a couple of other games on one of those "plug and play"-thingies back in 2003 and have been playing it at least a couple of times a month ever since. You should really try to find it and try it out if you're into tho...

Re: Urkel to reprise the voice of Sonic in upcoming fan film
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S62rbd7o6RE It's Confirmed. Jaleel White can still voice Sonic perfectly Agreed. Hell, they should have just given Jaleel the job after they canned Jason, instead of that new guy. Especially considering that, judging from what we saw in Colors, Sega seems to be trying...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
I'm not sure the disneyfication of that scene actually had anything to do with Disney consciously trying to "soften it up" though. I think it's more of a case of them simply feeling that the scene didn't "need" to be any longer than what we see on the screen. A notion that is entirely up to debate t...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Sega should really be glad over the decision to release Sonic 4 prior to Colors though, considering that whatever praise Sonic 4 got was probably mostly due to "well, it's better than most of Sonic's other recent games".

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
I feel that probably the single most significant change to the series that Colors has brought is that it presents a complete break with everything we thought we knew about Sonic when it comes to dialogue . Honestly, if there has been one consistently awful aspect of the Sonic games (with the sole ex...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
If they ever make an adaptation of chapter 10 of the last book I'd definitely go see it. I think I sat awake for 3 hours after reading it in profound reflection. I'm sure they'd sweeten it up, but as long as they kept the outcome intact I'd be fine with that. I take it that you haven't seen The Man...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
They did variants of that in both the New Adventures TV show and Piglet's Big Movie, but mainly the part where Piglet gets mistaken for Roo and Kanga bathes him. I know, which is why i said a proper adaption of the story. "Kidnapping" a kid in order to save him from having to take a bath isn't near...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
Here is to hoping that Disney has the balls this time around to make a proper adaption of the story where Rabbit gets Winnie to help him kidnap Roo in order to extort Kanga into leaving Hundred Acre Woods. Yes, that actually does happens in the book. And understandably, it was by far my favorite cha...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
The fact that they are basing this film on stories from the original Milne books gives it all potential to be the best Pooh-related thing Disney has produced since the 70's. Short, clever, comedic stories mixed with just the right amount of sweetness is what Pooh is really all about. The half-assed ...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
Do we know what prompted the change? I don't know, but what I do know is, we all did it together! Seriously, maybe we did. You know, by complaining so much about the 4kids cast that Sega felt the need to replace them in order to truly be able to sell this whole "Sonic isn't gonna suck any more ball...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
I instantly like this new guys Sonic voice better than Griffith's. Griffith was simply unable to capture any of Sonic's required attitude, but Mr New Guy does a pretty good job at it.
But Tails still sounds to much like a fucking woman.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
What the hell is wrong with Jun Senoue? That's a very good question. I mean really, just what the hell is the story behind Sonic 4's crappy music? Didn't he give enough time to the game cause he was busy writing music for Colors, or is he simply way passed his creative peak after all these years? U...

Maybe it was just because by the point i got to them, i had gotten used to the crapish physics, but while playing the Mad Gear levels i got stronger "fuck yeah, this is the Sonic i grew up with!"-feelings than any other post- Sonic and Knuckles installment has managed to give me before. The design o...

Well, this sure looks like a fun game, but then again, so did Sonic 06 / Sonic 360 / Sonic The Hedgehog / Sonic the Disaster.
(Seriously, you'd think that the fanbase would have come to some sort of agreement on a standard name for that one in four years...)

Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Speaking of Pokémon names, i still say they should have just went with the fan-name and named Marrill "Pikablue" for the western relase of generation 2. It would have been so awesomely stupid.Crowbar wrote:The english names for the fire pig absolutely must be Piglit, Pignite, and Pignition.
