Merry Christmas, y'all! Sorry to get sentimental for a moment, but I've been wanting to post this for a while. As the activity of this board has declined, my activity IRL has increased. I used to come by here everyday, even when there wasn't anything happening, but I haven't been checking in regular...

Talia found Ra's and had him save Bane; this was an explicit part of her revelation flashback. This film was entertaining, but not very good. There are a lot of things wrong with it, so I will settle to describe what I think is the biggest issue: Batman Begins and TDK were both phenomenal films bec...

Season 2 concept art here . Emphasis will be on the spirit realm, which was featured a few times in Last Airbender, including one of the creepiest episodes of the series, so that's great news! Concept art shows off icy environments (probably water tribe hangouts), a bunch of new characters, and a co...

Word has long been that there will be two seasons, so, yeah, I guess? You're right about the healing power rationally -- similarly, her air bending manifested out of thin air, and it would have been better to have seen more training going into it -- but it worked great as an emotional pay-off. Overa...

Hey, the season finale was a lot of fun! Many instances of "that was so awesome!" Particularly, of course, Korra kicking Amon's ass and later connecting to Aang and learning to heal the benders. Substantial deus ex and tons of parachutes, perhaps, but the episode did a great job of bringing the prot...

...are they like single player campaigns but with co-op... Yes. I have been really enjoying playing Diablo 3 with friends in the same room. It's the perfect game for it. Usually, it leaves you with enough brain power to hold a conversation, but there are still moments when your enemies become a ser...

That's pretty believable, though -- teenagers are complete morons. It's something that worked in the first series, too -- the Aang gang often made dumb mistakes or conflicted for irrational reasons. But they each had to grow out of this jejune mentality, and that's where the really interesting story...

Here's a trailer with the winners of the graffiti contest. They look great! I wish I could actually see them under those titles tossed over the top of the screen.

The US songs were Dragula - Rob Zombie Slow - Professional Murder Music Just Got Wicked - Cold Patrol Knob - Mixmaster Mike Improvise - Jurassic 5 The first three were contemporary metal that sounded out of place next to the Naganuma tracks. I'd say they were used effectively enough, being placed in...

Nope. I just finished Gemini Rue. I think it may be my favorite point'n'click. Not just because of the beautiful pixel art or the straightforward yet enthralling sci-fi plot. I play adventure games for the story, not the puzzles. Of course, the puzzles are necessary to keep me engaged and separate t...

What really bugs me about being in the field is that there is loot to find if you explore, but everything else discourages you from doing so. The constant over-the-shoulder view, the forward-driving level design, the exciting music, the supposedly time-sensitive goal of every mission, your teammates...

Not in an interesting way. The idea is that when you beat a multiplayer map, it ups the galaxy's readiness to take on the Reapers in the single-player finale. This is represented by a percentage: you start at 50% and gain something like 5% percent for beating a map. There's something about "promotin...
