You mean '06?

Yeah, I agree. The art is there, but the developers need to up the polygon count just a little bit. They're either trying to stay true to the Saturn game or the screenshots simply came from an early build. There's also "Air NiGHTS" to consider. I'll wait 'til I see the game in motion.

If Ogawa's team is making it then it should be fine. Secret Rings does feel a bit similar to NiGHTS in terms of gameplay and visual style. There's also the prospect of it being on the Wii. That should seal the deal. I just hope the developers spend more time and effort on this game... if it's being ...

Ah, yes. The true successor of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I say it should be sprite based. Take the graphical style of Ristar, the art direction of Sonic CD, the gameplay of S3&K, add some minor enchancements to the formula, and you have... Sonic 4. I think it could be done for the Wii, what with the class...

Heh, just look at the character's design. It looks like Sonic, Ristar, Zool and Gunstar Super Red had a foursome and came up with this guy. eBee dBee, eh? All this guy needs is digitalized voice acting (courtesy of the Mega-Drive's Yamaha sound chip) and he'll be set.

I'll always remember back in 2003 when I played Viewtiful Joe for the first time on that GameCube demo, along with F-Zero GX and a couple other games. It was around that time my interest in the gaming industry rekindled, hoping we would enter an age of innovation and creative freedom in gaming. Thre...

Again, I think the demo is broken for reasons far less straightforward than "this is how it's gonna be" and the TGS demo did not nearly sound as shoddy as people make this one out to be (the 360 verision, that is). I haven't played the XBL demo but there's a TGS video at GameTrailers that seems to ...

I don't think the camera will ever truly be "fixed". You can make it more obedient and less spastic but you will still get a bad camera angle every once in a while whether it be stuck to a corner or it shifts to an angle on its own. You'll still have to babysit the camera, constantly adjusting it to...

Sonic and the Secret "of the" Rings? Mumble grumble. On the bright side, the game looks much more polished than it did at E3. The way Sonic moved and attacked the enemies flowed pretty well and it didn't seem twitchy like it did in previous footages. Speaking of enemies, there was that plant enemy a...

Overall, it's a decent story. Most of the character's have been used quite well and have decent enough personalities. Sonic's story seems a bit pointless to me. Shadow's is quite good considering his past works, much less emo now. Silver is pretty much the star really, having the best story of the ...

That would be really weird. Imagine Elise running across water and hopping from pillar to pillar in that one mach speed stage. Think of the possibilities with the other characters.
One Classy Bloke wrote:Depending on how you play through her story will effect who Elisa confesses her love to.

So yeah, the upbeat dance music of the 80's is what kept the coolness going, Oshima knew this. Masato Nakamura. Anyway, I don't think the preview confirms Shadow's use of firearms. As far back as I remember firearms have been brought to subject with this game as far back as E3 2006, what with Shado...

Dynamite Headdy too. As a matter of fact, what happened to that "Treasure Box" collection thing? Is it not going to be released outside of Japan or no? SEGA and Treasure should make deal, put what they have in Treasure Box, put it in this new collection, and there, a localized Treasure Box. I also w...

Just to lighten up the mood here, and to not let this thread decend into another "4Kids is killing Sonic" rant-a-thon, there's another preview out there from a magazine, I think PSM or something, saying they played the lastest build and said they liked it. They said while the levels felt like race t...

He's also suppose to have a complicated name that starts with an "M" or something. I'm speculating that the crystal 'hog is a shapeshifter and is taking on the form of Shadow in these screenshots. No, I don't mean the Shadow we're seeing is actually Mr. "M" here, that would be stupid. No, I'm saying...

Before Rlan linked me to the GAF thread for these shots, I happened across one a month or so ago where they essentially spent 5 pages ripping Sonic Rush to shreds for being the worst DS game ever. Basically, Imagine the GHZ forums at five times it's current size, ten times the bitter cynicism, and ...

Reading the GAF thread on this makes me want to kill something. Some of those guys are some of the most elitist, snob-nosed pricks I think I've ever seen. I second that notion. On second thought, I don't know exactly how to feel about these screenshots either. There are things that excite me and th...

That or Chu² DS, which would make the most sense out of anything for the handheld period.

Oh, I forgot, Brain Training -- I mean, Brain Age... whatever. Not much to say about it other than it resembling Brain Training. At least something is coming out of SONICTEAM other than another Sonic game.

Okay, I wouldn't say six months ago, but I'm pretty sure the demo didn't just poof out of thin air within the month E3 started. Disney does have one on the way thanks to some prodding by John Lassetter, whom I guess has some sort of non-official position in Disney's animation department now. Apparently the problem is LaSalle praised the Monster House for its animation techniques instead of how they were used. I don't think games start development as soon as they are announced. They probably have to take a few months of development to be previewable before anything. As for the 40% build at E3, I'm curious about that too. Who knows how far along they are with the game after roughly three months? When was t...
