Re: Hayao Miyazaki Compares iPad Use To Masturbation
I think the rest of Studio Ghibli is keeping it a secret from him. I'm getting this mental image of him wandering around corridors in the Ghibli offices, bemused as to why doors keep slamming shut every time he approaches them. Personally, I only tend to take stuff to entertain me on the train if t...

Re: Virtual On 5.66
So, it appears that a coin-op co-op game in the series from 2001 is getting a 360 port? Or something? I'm a little confused, I'll let someone who knows the series better (I only ever played the first one, but I'm intending to pick up OT at some point) explain. Basically I just like typing "coin-op c...

Re: Toy Story 3 Teaser Released-Dated for June 18th 2010
I suspect the film'll end with Andy giving Woody (and perhaps the rest of the toys) to some five-year-old kid, and that's who he's talking to in that bit.

Re: Soul Bubbles
I got to the final world that you have to unlock by collecting fifty butternut-squash-things or whatever, but never got round to finishing it. There's too many bits where you have to blow against the wind in the later levels, which is annoying. But yeah, for ten bucks I'd say it's certainly worth a ...

Re: Old People Gaming -or- Return of the DS Phat
Actually, I have a cousin who once broke both arms at the same time. To this day I wonder how he managed. Learnt to use his feet? My DS Original Old-School Phat Whatever does get a little heavy after a while, but I've never been one to upgrade just for the sake of it. My iPod is a 2005-era Shuffle ...

Re: More Mario & Sonic at the Olympics?
Sonic the Comic offered up the factoid that Sonic was plenty fast on his own but his sneakers were special friction-reducing thingies, allowing him to go even faster. I always liked that idea.

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
I'm honestly surprised nobody from Crazy Taxi has been announced yet. It should be such an obvious choice in a Sega mascot racing game. Oooh, yeah. BD Joe plzkthx. I hope that Ryo's inclusion means there'll be a Shenmue stage - preferably Dobuita or maybe Wan Chai's Golden Quarter. Yokusuka Harbour...

Maybe some sort of arcade equivalent to All-Stars Racing - a mash-up of Daytona, Sega Rally, Scud Race et al? I dunno, I'm mainly guessing off the "Classic" bit of the title.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
Who else thinks the story will involve modern-day Sonic traveling back in time and *gasp* meeting his younger 16-bit self? And who thinks they'll team up to stop the combined forces of Eggman, old-school Eggman, Sonic '06 Eggman, Eggman Nega, Captain Whisker, and the AoStH and SatAM Robotniks? I th...

The Wiki article says the same thing, for what it's worth. It also says that one of Chibi's human allies is the son of Susano and Kushi, despite the fact the game's set only three months after the original. I dunno, those wacky gods and their time-bending antics. Anyway, I am very excited for this. ...
