And they said it couldn't be done...

I just got A-Emblem on Casinopolis... without using the Sewers! :D I managed to bag a Four of a Kind in NiGHTS Pinball, which gave me a silly number of rings. And I did it with that stupid "we're going to take you on a journey through Nightopia, not give you control of Sonic and go 'Ha-ha'" section ...

Having read the last few posts, and having fallen foul of bottomless pits more times than the average player, I think I have to agree there. Bottomless pits as an obstacle are okay, I guess, although it still seems like a bit of cheap way to die. Bottomless pits lining the course because the designe...

All this talk of Looney Tunes et al has got me thinking.

Why have I never seen or heard a comedy show that compared the president of France, Jaques Chirac, to Black Jaques Chirac of Looney Tunes fame? I know he's one of the more obscure LT villains, but even so...

I know that if I see anyone handing out leaflets, I go into immediate "Leaflet Avoidance Mode", which primarily involves me making sure that there's at least one other pedestrian between me and the nearest leaflet dispenser at all times. Then they get the leaflet, not me. It's not a sense of meannes...

I take it that's the American equivalent of Remembrance Day, then.

Yep, fair enough: a heck of a lot of people died to protect our ways of life. I wore my poppy :).

Depends whether you had SA or SADX. You get the minigames (one for every 20 Emblems or Missions) and Metal Sonic (all 130 Emblems) in SADX...

Overkill much (click the thumbnail to expand): http://img7.exs.cx/img7/5740/sadx1993.th.jpg I'd like to point out that the last 990 or so of those came off one set of pinballs: I thought to myself once I got to 999 "well, one last go for good measure"... and let's just say I did really rather well. ...

You gotta love the APC. It carries infinite supplies of fuel and ammo. And can refuel bombers while they're flying!

... wait, what d'you mean only in Advance Wars?

Reading that article, it appears to have been a genuine cock-up on the part of the Army Reserve Corps.

Currently, umm... somewhere in the 200-300 region (Emerald Coast) I think.

Should be fairly easy to whip up a ridiculous number of rings in Casinopolis though, I'm pretty good at those pinball zones.

And now comes the bizarre admission that I actually liked the "hunting, shooting and fishing" segments of SA1/SADX. This is mainly because I'm fairly useless as actually playing as Sonic: I either can't handle the pace and die horribly, or go far too slowly and die horribly (the lava segment in Red ...

Running pretty much in the face of what everyone else has said, but what I'd quite like to see is a proper Tails-related game. Not some silly adventure with evil witches in minecarts (honestly, how improbable a plotline was that?) or strange chicken things, but with the Doc as the main villain. Tail...

The Doc, I'd say, is the ultimate "stereotypical villain" in that, when it comes to all the traditional cliches (like having a "hideout" that stands out a mile, or leaving out little details, or just generally screwing up), but I wouldn't say he's the baddest of the bad. It's a little weird but my v...

I think they're parodies. IIRC, I saw the first one on How Not To Run A Comic, which is designed as a parody site, so there. There are decent sprite comics out there, and I'm not just talking about 8-Bit Theatre. A recent one I spotted is Two Evil Scientists ( http://twoevilscientists.keenspace.com/...

Me = Advance Wars nut. Particularly AW2. Fear the sheer insanity of a Sensei B-Copter spam! (You can get it to work, honest.
