PS3

So I've finally succumbed to getting a ps3, mainly for metal gear 4, but little big planet looks pretty sweet too, anyone here tried it? I was wondering if anyone here could recommend anything else to justify its price tag.

I remember spending about half an hour trying to set up a superscope but just couldn't get the damn thing working.

Then I realised that you had to put in the second controller port.

I decided to count and, of the 50 or 60-something Sonic characters, the only ones never reused are Bark, Bean, Mighty, Ray, Heavy & Bomb, Battle Kukku, Lumina & co, Black Doom, The Babaloyn Rouges, and Tails Doll (and Emerl/Gmerl if you consider them separate characters). But Mighty appeared in Cha...

Remember the Saturn? Complete failure. SEGA was pretty much down and out as a company. 32X, Pico, Game Gear, no SEGA console sold that well aside from the Genesis. Then comes along Peter Moore, and the Dreamcast follows. Sonic Adventure. Shenmue. Space Channel 5. Crazy Taxi. PSO. Skies of Arcadia. ...

I'm thinking of getting the Cube version of Twilight Princess, other than the control interface, is there any great difference between it and the Wii version?

Phantasy Star IV for the Mega Drive. If your into your old school stuff (like Dragon Quest) then give the first two a shot as well as the games all link together. The first one's for Master System but you can still play it on a Mega Drive with some sort of peripheral with a dodgy name. Secret of Man...

Oh yeah. And Monsterworld IV for Wonder Boy fans. I think Monsterworld IV is like... Wonder Boy 6? I don't know anymore. After Wonder Boy IV, the numbering system got kind of dodgy due to the "Monster World" subtitle, but yeah it is probably the 6th one. It was never released out of Japan and is su...

Oh yeah, I found that pretty amusing too, it must have slipped my mind. Club Puff Puff (or whatever it's called) was also a hoot.

I enjoyed DQ8 quite a bit, but you'd think that they'd be able to come up with a slightly more entertaining battle system.

The Sound of Music

There appears to be a fair amount of interest in music amongst many members of The GHZ, and although there have been topics in the past about our interests in music and whatnot, I thought that it would be useful to create an all inclusive thread about what kind of music we like, and any involvement ...

Sonic 1 mobile was okay. The main problem was that the screen was way too small which often led to you getting hit by stuff you couldn't see until it was too late. It also meant that you had to play more cautiously and slower, having the up button as jump was also a bit of a pain and I'd rather have...

At the begining of the Summer I was able to secure a job (well, more of a scheme actually) with oil company Cogent. Quite handy since I'd just left school and wasn't fully sure of what exactly I was going to do with myself. The scheme involves a year and a half at college learning to work as some fo...

It's probably not worth noting when Arcade goes off topic, trying to make sense of what it posted or correcting it. That only leads to it making more posts. Better just to leave it sitting there.

I'd say Sonic 2's special stages were harder than the original ones. I normally just make the ring count with the skin of my teeth and there's a good lot of memorisation needed, and if you've got an AI Tails your buggered. Of course you get a lot more opportunities to get to special stages in Sonic ...

Also, I think there was another Master System game (some action-RPG) that was released in Brazil, but using Monica's Gang characters (Turma da Mônica no Castelo do Dragão or whatever it was).
Think that would be Wonderboy in Monster Land.
