Re: What are you playing today?
My boyfriend is a big Animal Crossing nerd so I've been farming hammerheads for him while hes at work. it still feels very much unchanged from when I originally played on Gamecube. Besides drawing patterns, I find myself pretty addicted to the flower gardening and town managing aspect of the game. O...

Re: Sonic Lost World - Nintendo Exclusive
This past E3 has made me want to talk about video games again, and first thing that came to mind was coming back to this place to read about the new Sonic game. Its interesting to say the least. I feel like there's more research done here into subjects that before I could have painted them as indiff...

Only 2nd in line to Sirlin rage. I came across this today and was pretty overwhelmed not just by the ignorance and elitist attitude, but by the overwhelming amount of genuine followers to the subject. His main point seems to be that video games are marketed for capital gain, as if art is somehow abo...

http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/441/kfcdoubledown.jpg *heart attack'd* This sandwich is the love of my LAIFU! That and a subway seafood and crab on italian herbs and cheese, spicy pepperjack and all the veggies. Since my life is salty, fried food is perfection to me. Classically oversized pork ten...

Re: Prolific American Company I Do Care About vs. Capcom
Melty Blood? Generic characters? I presume you have read neither Tsukihime nor Kagetsu Tohya? I have a bit, and I actually am a fan of some of the Kara no Kyoukai movies. They have their moments, but I still think design-wise the characters are rather bland and the main appeal of a lot of them seem...

Re: Prolific American Company I Do Care About vs. Capcom
Its not fair to cite Capcom's latest shader abuse cop-outs as the end of 2D yet. When you have games like Melty Blood(Generic characters, but some of the best animations I've seen in a fighting game thus far) and even KoF 2002(Both Top 10 last time I checked Arcadia Magazine) still going strong over...

I'm definitely interested in this. Tail Concerto is a game I've been meaning to play for a while now. But yeah, hawt furry on mecha action. Its like my two favorite things in the world. The character designs are pretty boring, but I've seen worst. If you want some bad anthrofic check out the apparen...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
I like reading through all the nitpicking. I like being pointed out things that a casual glance might let pass, and its the reason I like this board. Its not like anyone took said one nitpick factor as reason for the game's demise. Its more like a variety of factors. Its those "How could they even l...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
Man that music just drives me up the wall. Its so repetitive, not even tolerable at times. Seriously even if the quality is terrible in that vid, my temples kind of ache... Anyways it just looks really boring, sometimes even annoying to play. Nothing we haven't already seen on the GBA. Its really te...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010
I don't really see much reason to be hyped about this besides the acknowledgment they gave to the old trilogy. Anyone can copy some fan criticism and address it in an interview, but rewarding speed is not really important to me. If the level design can't be varied or interesting then momentum-based ...

Re: First game I ever played
I may be remembering this all wrong, but the first experience with games that comes to mind is watching my uncle play Turtles in Time. It wasn't until I got my own SNES that I went out and rented my own game. If I remember correctly, I dearly wanted to rent Super Mario Brothers and somehow the box e...

Re: What are you playing today?
Yay, I don't feel weird for liking FFXII anymore. Also, recently went and played Gotcha Force. Great game, charming music too. Really wish Capcom would make a sequel one of these days. It honestly could be pretty awesome on the Wii. Its like Pokemon with arcade-style robot fighting and tons of varie...

Re: What are you playing today?
Before this thread I was really tempted to post a ranting text wall on its multitude of flaws No need, this guy's got you covered . Heck I wouldn't even give the game as much merit as that guy did. Then again neither would I spend as much time writing something so long about it. When does sticking ...

Re: What are you playing today?
Bought FFXIII at the store a while ago, mainly because the promotional event came with a nice gift card which I used to finally get me some HDMI cables. Its pretty much been one of the worst "RPG" experiences I've ever had. Its incredibly shallow, monotonous, unfulfilling and formulaic. Before this ...

I haven't looked very far yet. Sorry I can't help you there. Like I said I've got some fishing to do for some obscure cabinets, and so far only the mainstream titles have shown me luck. >: If I find a reliable supplier at all I'll be sure to inform you though. And thanks a lot for that site. I was w...

Sorry to necro bump this, but I know G.Silv is the resident V.On player and I can't seem to find much info on it anywhere. So I figured I'd give this a try. You think theres anything you can link me to with all the random tech and fun little tricksies for this game? I always played it casually but I...

Re: There's a Thunderdome joke in here somewhere
I'll save the feces throwing until I at least finish the series thank you very much. I've been building up holic syndrome lately though, as I've been leaning towards multiplayer games exclusively and haven't been motivated to finish any single-player games at all. The last RPG I wanted to finish was...

VIII is over rated? Trolololololol Aw flip, I've been looking for an excuse to post that vid since next millennium. Boo hiss. If you've never played through an SRPG before, FFT is easily a cut above the rest you might try. Though honestly don't go into it for the story or difficulty. Alone its prob...

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
Yeah the Heroes tracks were just an odd choice. They were pretty big and easy to replicate because of their already flat roadway designs I guess. Played the Wii version at a friends house, and was pretty surprised to see that the game looks pretty similar to its HD counterparts just without the fanc...

Am I contributing if I say here?
I probably miss plenty of things I'd normally be interested in, but I'm honestly okay with that. I'm usually pre-occupied with one game too many as it is.

Re: Sega announces Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing
I used D-Pad on PS3, too. It works just as fine. So does this support the wheels properly? All of Sumo's other racing games do not because they are second-rate developers who enjoy Billy Hatcher games. Works fine on my Forza wheel and 360 seat as far as Xbox goes. Don't know if I could say the same...

Got a nice driving seat/wheel setup here. Considering getting the game for 360 just to make use of it.P.P.A. wrote:So I downloaded the PS3 version and am pleasantly surprised, it's pretty fun.
Am I the only one who uses the d-pad and L1 and R1 instead of analogue controls though?
